The
singer Iris McLaughlin
In the seventies Iris met WERNER THARANDT. Soon
they realized their mutual passion: MUSIC.
Iris` distinctive voice and Werner`s guitar formed
a duet, which played not only a numerous amount
of own compositions but also songs from Joni
Mitchell, Cheryl
Wheeler and many more folk-, blues- and rockinterpreters
in different bars and pubs.
They also participated at Nürnberg`s very first
Bardentreffen
1976.

1978 IRIS McLAUGHLIN emmigrated to New Zealand.
Therefore their common musical path had been interrupted.

WERNER THARANDT went to the U.S.
where he could improve his guitar-playing due to
the musicians he met overseas.
In 1980 IRIS and WERNER met again in Germany. The
previous recorded songs had been produced in 2004.
